The principle of structured specifications in ReqBuilder translates into the ability to mention existing requirements in various text areas, for example, in specifying the scenario steps of a Uses case:

• Glossary terms are automatically detected when typing in a text area. In practice, terms containing the entered characters appear in a list box and can thus be selected. This system also works for plurals and synonyms of Glossary terms.
• To mention an Actor, simply type the « @ » symbol followed by one or more letters contained in the searched term.
• It is possible to proceed in the same way with the « # » symbol to mention any other requirement.

The mentioned elements are displayed in color and constitute a link to the corresponding element. It is thus possible to visualize what is defined in terms of specifications, and even more so what is not.

In the example below, the « # » symbol followed by the characters « lit » displays the list of requirements that include this sequence of letters. Simply select one of them insert the mention in the corresponding scenario step.
